Pastoral Care

We have a concern that all people associated with our church, however remotely, should be able to call upon our pastoral team and others who have undergone training and who provide back-up to the initial pastoral response.

Baptism is the beginning of life in the Church. Requests for baptisms are welcomed by the Minister, who should be approached before a date is fixed. Parents are then visited, normally in their own home, to discuss the meaning of baptism.
Adult baptisms for those who have not previously been baptised can be arranged.

We welcome enquiries in connection with wedding services in our church and these should be directed towards the Minister. A date will then be suggested.

Parents' Support Groups

Parenting Groups can be arranged and run periodically as needs arise, for parents and carers to find support, share fresh ideas and learn ways to use respectful communication skills with their children - whilst having some fun.
We use material produced by The Family Caring Trust covering various age groups from pre-school to teens. Each programme consists of 7 to 8 weekly sessions. The time and venue can be tailored to suit the group's needs. A small charge covers basic expenses, including the handbook, which you keep for reference.
